Faqs
Is this all real ? Great Question. NexUs Ai Art is a conceptual art performance unfolding over a three year time period. It is real, yet blurs the line between reality and the invented, machine and human, creator and creation. The featured artist, Pepper De Cobbs-Duchamp is not a traditional figure. He is both subject and speaker, a voice and a vision- shaped by lived experience and Illuminated by personal myth, and critical inquiry. Pepper exists to challenge assumptions of authorship, artistic legitimacy, and identity. All artwork is filtered through his worldview, making every passage both personal and performative, grounded and invented.
Who is NexUs Ai Art for? Anyone ready to move beyond surface beauty. NexUs was created for thoughtful collectors—those seeking work that resonates emotionally, spiritually, or intellectually. It’s art for those who want to feel something, name it, and keep it close. While the experience is mobile- friendly, NexUs is its best when viewed on a laptop or desktop, where the images can breathe and the layers unfold.
Is NexUs Ai a small business? Yes. NexUs is an independent studio with a focus on time-limited, intentionally crafted art. Every piece is made-to-order and fulfilled with care using premium materials through trusted partners.
Do You Support Sustainability? We recycle nearly all scrap into building materials, aim for zero-landfill waste, offer PVC-free banner options, and are working toward full carbon neutrality.
Will these be available forever? No. Passages are offered in seasonal collections, often limited by time rather than quantity. Once a season ends, those works are archived. New ones emerge.
Can I return or exchange artwork? Due to the made-to-order nature of our passages, all sales are final. However, if your piece arrives damaged or defective, please contact us immediately and we will make it right.
Do you offer international shipping? We currently ship to the U.S.A. through high-quality fulfillment partners. Additional regions will be added in future seasonal releases.
Can I commission a custom piece? For bespoke sizes larger than those offered on our site, or private commissions, contact us directly at info@nexusaiart.com. NexUs welcomes inquiries from collectors and collaborators.
Do you offer digital downloads? No. All NexUs art is offered exclusively as physical pieces — tangible works meant to exist in space, not just on screen. However, as we continue to grow our small business we may offer digital downloads for your convenience.
Do you represent artists or hire collaborators?
Not at the moment. NexUs is primarily rooted in a long-standing creative exchange with Pepper de Cobbs-Duchamp. The two first met at an artist’s residency years ago, where a shared fascination with conceptual process, permanence, and identity led to an ongoing off-again collaboration. While they continue to work independently, the project now includes the discreet support of Jules Obi, a Ghanaian-born financier and collector currently based in France. His involvement remains largely behind the scenes—but his presence is felt in the quiet architecture of what's unfolding. Neither goes by the full names they were born with. If you think you met them at a residency, or an art program at uni, you may have. You just wouldn't have known it at the time.
What defines a “Passage”? A passage is a print with a point of view-chosen from hundreds of variations, refined by hand and intention. It's not just what you see, it is what it stirs. A passage holds weight: aesthetic, emotional, and conceptual. It's not made for decor, though it may live beautifully on a wall. It's made to mark something- a thought, a feeling, a shift. That's what you are collecting.
What is the difference between a passage and a print? A print is a physical object; an image rendered on metal, wood, canvas, or paper. It’s visual. It’s meant to be seen and enjoyed. There’s beauty in that, and there always has been. People collect images because they resonate with something internal; a flower they love, a color that calms them, a memory they want to hold.
A Passage is not just a piece of art, it is a visual artifact within a larger thematic journey. Each image is intentionally titled “Passage” with a number to signal that it is part of a flowing series rather than a fixed object. Collectors are invited to name their own piece, deepening their connection to the work. At NexUs, the image is just the beginning.
Why conceptual art? Why Ai? NexUs operates in the lineage of conceptual art, where the idea behind the work is just as vital as its form. Ai is used not to replace creativity but to collaborate with it by expanding visual language, disrupting assumptions, and inviting new forms of interpretation. The artist’s vision remains central, guiding each iteration, refinement, and curatorial decision.
Are your images meant to be symbolic? Yes. While each piece remains open to interpretation, the work is steeped in symbolism reflected in form, color, and subject. You may notice archetypes, shadows, reflections, or juxtapositions that stir something intuitive. That’s intentional. You’re not just looking, you’re feeling your way through.
How are the artworks created? Each passage begins with an artist-driven concept; drawn, photographed, or drafted. The image and prompt/s are processed through Ai algorithms that respond to those inputs. The final image is curated, refined, and printed using high-end techniques that honor both the art and its material form (metal or wood).
Are these Ai-generated images? No. They are Ai Integrated. Each piece is the result of intentional direction, artistic judgment, and digital experimentation. Ai is a tool, not the creator. The vision is always human.
Do any of the images depict real people? No. While some artworks may evoke the likeness of a human figure, all figures are entirely fictional and Ai-generated. Any resemblance to real individuals, living or deceased, is purely coincidental. These are visual archetypes, not portraits.
Why are the passages made on metal?
NexUs passages are printed on high-quality metal for a reason. Metal offers a sleek, luminous surface that enhances the richness of color and detail, bringing a refined clarity to each image. Unlike traditional materials like canvas or paper, metal feels unexpected, evoking elements of photography, earth, and permanence. It reflects light in subtle, luxurious ways, making each piece feel both contemporary and timeless. Future collections will include wood, archival-quality paper, fabric, and 3-d printed sculpture. Metal passages are especially popular for their vivid color, sleek finish, and durability, ideal for the futuristic aesthetic of NexUs art photography.
How do I take care of my art passage?
Your artwork arrives ready to hang and requires minimal care. Simply wipe the surface gently with a soft, dry cloth if needed. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents. The metal is durable but treat it as you would any fine artwork, with intention and care.
Why are the collections categorized this way? Each collection represents more than just a theme, they are part of a conceptual map that uses images to create meaning through art.
Water, Sand, and Bloom -explore natural elements and cycles.
Metal, Glass, and Skin -reflect surface, texture, and the boundary between body and environment.
Chocolate -evokes richness, desire, and emotional depth.
Form- studies shape, structure, and abstraction-through buildings, bodies, and space itself.
Avant-Garde Selfies- are portraits of perception, experimental, human, and sometimes surreal.
Nature Noir -offers an atmospheric lens on the natural world, layered in shadow and mystery.
When I receive my passage, will it move like the videos I saw on Tik Tok and Instagram ? Is there some video mechanism included, or do I need to install something? No installation required because there’s nothing to install. The movement you see in our videos is for storytelling and promotional purposes only. Your passage will arrive as a still image, printed on metal, ready to be lived with and contemplated in quiet.
That said, you're not the first to ask. While there are emerging technologies that allow for moving displays, we don’t currently offer that option. In the future, perhaps.
Why do you sometimes write it as NexUs and other times as Nexus? NexUs emphasizes connection, collective energy, and belonging. It highlights the idea that the project is not just one artist or entity—it’s Us, together. A community. A passageway. A plural soul. It aligns with the movement, the seekers, the resonance. Nexus- refers more directly to the individual behind the veil—the anonymous figure known as Nexus. Yes, sometimes we mix them up by mistake.
