About Us

NexUs Ai Art is a time-based conceptual work staged over three years, investigating authorship, machine-mediated creativity, and the performance of identity within contemporary visual culture. The project orbits around Pepper de Cobbs-Duchamp is an artist who exists within a constructed framework that blurs fiction, embodiment, and legacy.
"I honor the lineage of original, hand-made art where the artist’s intent is etched into every stroke, line and form, where the work carries a singular, personal vision. That kind of authorship is sacred, and I continue to create in that tradition. However, NexUs Ai belongs to a different lineage. These pieces carry shared authorship between the human, the algorithm, and the collector. While both options are valuable and collectible, the path of engagement is different. One arrives finished. The other opens a portal."

Our Vision — At NexUs Ai Art, our vision is to redefine how art is experienced—making it not only more accessible, but also deeply meaningful and thought-provoking.
We curate limited collections of Ai-enhanced artwork that originate from original hand-made pieces we refer to as “passages,” designed to spark dialogue, stir emotion, and elevate the spaces they inhabit.
This is not Ai-generated art; it is Ai-integrated. We move through multiple stages; across Ai apps, editing tools, and layered refinements until the piece reveals its final form. Each work is shaped through multiple iterations, guided not by automation, but by intention, intuition, and the mark of a human eye.
Pepper de Cobbs-Duchamp, Jules Obi, and Nexus. Together, they form a trinity, each carrying part of the vision, each shaping the work in distinct ways.
Nexus is the founder, the unseen lens, the bridge, and one who built the platform.
Pepper is the artist, the voice, the performance; the heir.
Jules is the patron, the strategist with a curatorial mind.
Their roles shift and overlap, sometimes in harmony, sometimes in tension.
What unites them is a shared belief: Art is not just to be seen and acquired. It is to be questioned and experienced. None of them fully agree on how Ai-integrated art will be perceived because it was never meant to be understood in one way. Each brings an enlightening vision to conversation. That’s the point.
Is Ai Art New? Ai art may feel new, but it stands on the shoulders of long-standing art traditions. In its simplest form, Ai art belongs to the category of Conceptual Art where the idea behind the work matters as much as, if not more than, the object itself.
At its best, conceptual art asks you to feel and think. It invites reflection. It lingers. It may be simple in form but layered in meaning. Sometimes it whispers. Sometimes it challenges.
It always asks:
What does this mean to you?
Why did it stop you?
What story are you bringing to it?
In this way, the viewer becomes part of the work—
not just looking, but completing it.
NexUs Ai Art exists in that lineage.
The images may be generated through Ai, but the vision, the curation, the refinement that all comes from a deeply human place. Each piece is a meditation on form, memory, and emotion. The machine is a tool. The intent is entirely human.
For those new to collecting art, you don’t need to be an art world insider to acquire meaningful work. If anything, NexUs is designed for those who feel outside the frame.
Our "passages" are printed on surfaces chosen for their ability to hold presence and echo meaning and memory. Each collection is available for a limited time only, preserving both rarity and legacy.
If you're considering a “passage,” ask yourself:
What drew me to this image?
Where might it live in my home or life?
Does it jar a memory?
How does it feel to know this image will greet me each day?
You don’t need the “right” answer. You just need your own.
Some works are left untitled on purpose, an open door. In those moments, you’re invited to name the piece yourself. Consider it an act of co-authorship. After all, your interpretation is part of what gives the work its life.
Founder, NexUs Ai Integrated Art
While the founder prefers to remain anonymous, what can be shared is this:
The creator of NexUs is a classically trained artist and educator with academic roots spanning four of the most respected institutions in the United States: UC Berkeley (MFA in Painting), Columbia University’s Teachers College (MA in Art Education), New York University (MA in Art Therapy), and The University of Maryland, College Park (BA in Studio Art).
Their creative practice has also been shaped by two of the most prestigious artist residencies in New England: the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture, and the MacDowell Artist Residency.
Their career includes decades of teaching art to children from marginalized communities and children with disabilities across California, Virginia, New York, and Washington, DC. In parallel, they have practiced art therapy in community and educational settings in Virginia, New York, Italy, and Australia.
Throughout it all, their work has remained rooted in art as both discipline and doorway; a means of fostering visibility, voice, and belonging where it is most needed.

What begins as an image becomes a mirror.
What you see is only part of what is being asked.
You are not just welcome here. You are needed.
